Tool Station: Angle Grinder (£22.17)
« on: 06 March 2010, 13:24:01 »

I`ve bought one of these on special-offer from Tool Station: quite a reasonable quality unit; 900 watts., takes 115mm. dia. discs and delivered to the door for £22.17. ;)

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Power+Tools/Power+Plus+X+Tools/POWX060+115mm+Grinder+230V/d40/sd3020/p12733

Good stock levels showing for (free) online delivery, but nearest shop to me showed out of stock for counter sale......`well worth the money. :y

You need a 'D.A'....no, not the coiffure favoured by waterfowl: it`s a Dual action (sometimes known as an orbital action) polisher.....They polish without heating/softening the paint`s surface or leaving swirl-marks. :y

keep an eye out at aldi their tools like this are cheap and in most cases come with a 3 year warranty, and for the home mechanic they will do the perfect job. I bought one of their angle grinders recently and they even gave me a spare set of brushes! first time i have ever seen that and perfect thing as in most cases its the first reason for an angle grinder to give up the ghost. with the exception of people cutting through the wire of course  ;D

There`s a nice counter chap in the Birkenhead shop: tools, 'eye/guy-candy', free coffee and biscuits: what more might one ask!......he`s it`s well worth the long drive.::)

I combine the 'tool-hunt' with a visit with my Sister, a trip to my favourite scrapyard in Rock Ferry and a nice walk for the doggies in Port Sunlight. ;)
