Ebay - Postage Rip Off (Not)
« on: 25 March 2010, 00:05:53 »

I buy a lot of small items, which recently have included short Sata cables, 5x4 Photo card, IDE convertors, Odd DVD's etc. A lot of items are now free, but then you get the idiots who sell for .99p but then want £4.99 P+P

Imagine my surprise when I went looking for garden benches and saw the delivery price on this.

I bought a sail for my dinghy recently and the chap honestly didn't know how much it was going to cost due to the size and shape so he set a minimum price(+ free p&p) which covered what he thought it would cost plus the minimum he wanted for the sail.  It ended up going for twice that value which was a steal for me, thus we're both happy :y

If you are looking for garden furniture there is a place in Stoke doing garden furniture for small prices, eg rectangle table with 2 benches and 2 chairs for about £200 and they delivery anywhere in the country for a small price, about £20 I think.  The wood has been treated but nothing else so you can stain it to the colour you want.  I'll dig out the details if you are interested.

Cheers Gaffers, need some garden furniture as I hear this summer is about to be the hottest on record for quite a while and I with something nice to sit on.   :y

This company lookslike a catalogue fiem so has probably negotiated a delivery price deal with a courier.  I was drawn to the seat on price, the quality looks good compared to a lot seen on the bay and delivery price is a bonus.

Still looking at the moment though.
