Is the volcanic ash abrasive to windscreens ?
« on: 19 April 2010, 18:14:24 »

Are there going to be loads of scratched windscreens and ruined wiper blades when this ash comes down out of the sky? :D :D

No did reach 60mph today but that is rare. Wasn't stuck behind other tractors.

Just wondered as people had said they had ash on their cars.

remember watching a demo, with pilots saying they had their windscreen pitted so badly they were totally blind, don't think we drive fast enough for it to be any serious problem
