dads finally had his op

they cancelled 4 times, then tell him that if he wasnt operated on sooner he would of died. 8hrs of keyhole surgery on monday morning, probably coming home tomorrow. was great to see him smiling for a change.

doesnt make you feel good when they come out with that shite does it.
now my mum is going in on 24th may. said her hip is so rotten it wont last 6 weeks, already had new right hip so now new left one.

Excellent news Richie. I know how waiting for an op feels, my daughter, who was only 6 at the time, got cancelled 8 times (yes, 8) for her op which involved major open-heart surgery. Finally got in after a full year of waiting which involved 3 occasions where we were gowned up ready to go, which can really take it out of you emotionally. Unbelievable amount of stress involved, worst time of my life by a mile
