Im very fast becoming a grumpy old man!
« on: 25 April 2010, 06:53:32 »

Maybe its because I moved to a town I now hate or maybe its because im a grandad at 35 but im really turning into a grumpy old man. I'll give you a couple of examples:

1. What happened to the Audi yesterday, I made my kids life hell yesterday by being in a foul mood because I was so pee'd off. Had promised them a trip to the farm but ended up cleaning said Audi instead, now I regret that.

2. At work the other day 4 of us were going to pick up cars, the designated driver went into Asda because he needed to get something quickly and parked in a disabled bay. I told him not to but being Polish he knows it all and said 'I will only be 2 minutes'. Soon as he was out the car I got in the drivers seat and moved it to the furthest parking space from the front door. He was not a happy bunny. i was!

3. This morning, Sunday, 6:10am. Some inbred **** pulled up outside my house in a very old and knackered Transit mini bus and left it running, and left it, and left it. 7 mins later I put my head out the window and shouted down 'could you switch your bloody engine off' which in all fairness he did. But why didnt his good manners gene cut in, why do people in this **** hole town appear to have zero sense when it comes to things like this.

Sorry if you live/lived in Boston and im not tarring everyone here with the same brush, but im now awake. This was my one chance to sleep in till the babys wake up (usually 7:30-8:00) this week

I am in Boston most days with work and have to say I quite like the place.....

Traffic isnt too clever alot of the time but everyone I have ever met there has been very friendly.....

And, being married to a Polish girl, I can comment that not all Polish people know everything.......

If you seen a big green 18ton RH truck around the area, that is more than likely me so give us a wave........!!!

No 2 is one of my pet hates .... able bodied nicking disables spaces  >:(

However, on the other side of the coin, I also hate the way some disabled drivers park elsewhere, without any consideration for other road users and usually causing an obstruction.

My mate is from Skeg Vegas, and he hates Boston!
I used to live in Norfolk and played gigs in Boston a few times, thought it was a smashing place!

But there you go...........

My only experience of Boston, was well visting there football ground, an experience in itself.
We were spat upon, served up crap food and bullied by the police, no change there then for football in general.
But at non league level it's usually a pretty friendly affair watching football matches at that level.
No it was a intense rivalry between my club The Brewers, Burton Albion and Boston Utd who were in a lower league at the time of meeting Boston.
All stoked up from there infamous manager Steve Evans calling Burton Albion no better than a "pub team".........The pub team beat em though.
Look where Boston are now in the non league pyramid, and Burton, now in the league :y

Sorry if you're a Pilgrims fan ::)

Welcome to the grumpy old Bastid club. You'll come to enjoy it eventually...i have now.
I like Boston, especially the Axe & Cleaver. One of our last remaining real pubs...well it was then & hope it still is! :)
