1st choice makita. 2nd choice for budgeting, ryobi which i have there impact driver.

We use this type at work and it is VERY VERY good, bit pricey but worth the money

Draper Expert... we sell there tools here, and we have one of their 25v cordless SDS's on display, great bit of kit... my favourite is the impact driver tho, best bit of kit i have ever seen

Second vote for the 36v Bosch here, had ours for just under a year and about the only thing it struggled with was a 6" core drill (it still managed to cut the hole through 9" brick though).

i had a 24volt bosch when i was doing the ada store refurbs. it caught fire, took the battery out and it stopped. put the battery back in and it lit up again. was a bloody good piece though apart from that. exchanged it for a metabo.

you got me now kw, 6 years ago. blue, green, maybe in between. was only about 3 weeks old when it happened,drilling concrete blocks but probably down to me using it consistently for about 4 hrs. as you will probably know shopfitting night work can be hard graft doing stud work. especially the B&Q stores. by 5am i wanted to break off and die. the older you get the harder the work gets. but i love the work and the pi$$ take on site with mates.
