No bias or offence meant but I have to ask...

Thanks to everyone for their feedback, apologies to Di for hijacking her thread.

I hope to have a sit down and chat, face to face, with those at the Lakes meet, to canvas opinions, and discuss possible ideas to overcome the percieved/real problems.

This thread has been useful, but has run its course.

Understandably the thread was locked but I have a question...

I just wanted ask if these discussions will be extended onto here aswell, as I for one would be more than willing to offer help/offer an opinion/discuss ideas but I can't do the Lakes meet as I'll be working. Or will it just be limited to the select few that can make it?

I dont want to put words in anyones mouth or read anyones mind, but I would imagine there will be a  bit of a discussion, with ideas thrown in for opinion to be gauged etc, by the amins and the people there (mostly long standing "core" members) and then the options which result from that would probably be put on here for some more discussion/fresh ideas etc. I think the whole idea is for the admins to try to get a feel of what the membership think is te best dirction to proceed in. :-/

Di, I never meant it to sound as if the members at the Lakes will be a 'selection' of certain members, I merely meant the ones lucky enough to be going. Perhaps I worded it wrong.

Albs, I'd like to consider myself a long standing core member hence the enquiry. I just wanted to know if these ideas will be added on to the board for further discussion with all members. Nothing sinister meant by it at all.  :y

I know EXACTLY what you meant, I was just trying to put over HOW words can get misconstrued on here, or anywhere on the internet for that matter, and I think I have proved my point. :y :y
The Internet is EXPRESSIONLESS.

This is very true, Peachy. The long standing members can interpret the posts based upon a long formed knowledge of the poster and the way he/ she normally posts. However, newer members ( and especially BRAND new members) can easily mis-construe an otherwise innocently meant comment.
