Well its 5 am and I have been awake for well over two hours, got a full days driving ahead of me later, that should be fun.

Its not a Housing Assosciation house, its a private rental in a not too bad part of Boston. The estate is only 5 years old.

The problem I have is I know almost nobody up here, especially anyone who may be able to apply some pressure. I honestly dont care if they think im a grass once I move as I doubt we will run into each other (We rarely have the cash to go out tbh)

I have been informed by three seperte people that the lad who lives next door with his one year old and girlfriend also partakes in a bit of dealing which makes me think hes trying to get rid of the competition and then blaming me. Put it this way, when I was redundent he never did a days work but was constantly changing his car, i mean at least once a month. He now has a Civic Type R, a heap of a Peugeot 306 and a quad bike, yet he still doesnt work?

I suppose the threat is aimed at me so at least my family should be relatively safe.

We had someone with these types of connections on here but we drove him away, seems you cant have your cake and eat it......

Hope you get this sorted mate.  I can only say what i would do and that would be to go over and ask what the problem is and if they have the balls to say whats going on in the small tin can that they call brain explain that you here now lets get this sorted one way of the other if not mate and they say nothings going on i would think if they sell they also use so play on that. You know late night scream mask on standing out side the living room window that sort of thing mind tricks mate or just go for option 2 first without asking whats going.  Then again knowing my temper when i loose it and the red mist comes down i would get him before he got me and make sure he breaked off.

You should hold a meet at you house and get everyone to turn up in force and make a presance felt no one has to do anything but it will make him think twice if loads of fellas turn up and just hang round.

I hope that Squealey stays safe but also not sure this sort of taking things into your own hands stuff looks good for the forum either...

Whats the notice period on your rent? As you don't own the house and its likey to be a month is to give notice, i'd move away! No point in living next to that.

Sorry my previous post wasn't a suggestion to get heavies in.

Looking at your position I see a no-brainer, you know no-one so have no friends to lose. You are in private rental so only limited by your contract, no secure tenancy to lose. And your statement that it's in a not too bad area doesn't hold water as you have had two dealers opposite and one next door! Just get out.

When you choose your next area don't go by estate age, it doesn't work. In Slough I can think of 5 new estates that have gone up over the last years and only 2 of them are worth living on. What happened here is they created mixed HA/private estates, the local council promptly dumped all their trash tenants on the HA and the buy to letters bought up big chunks of the private which they promptly let at huge profit to DSS claimants who were miles down the waiting list. Suddenly the estate turns to crap, then what happens is the half decent tenants start to do exchanges, who with?, the crap from other parts of town. They are invariably in a half decent area but after many years of neglect their HA house looks like sh!t, they then jump at the chance of a newly built house and the outgoing tenant jumps at a decent area.
