YLOD and RLOD are more common on the older consoles so I believe, but, for any of the other faults, the PS3 is actually very easy to work on as it is all very modular inside (just a PITA to open)...

I was gutted when mine died and trying to play my old PS2 literally made me feel sick, due to the poor movement (causes something like travel sickness)...
I suffer that with most games now, possibly part of reason I don't play any game for more than an hour or so....

Always been slightly susceptable. Always used to get travel sick in the back of dad's old Citroen DS Safari (lovely car, but always smelt of puke after I'd been in the back ;D).  But I rarely suffer from travel sickness now, occasionally if there is swell, can feel green on boats, but I am getting worse with CG content (games or films)
