Agreed. Problem is no one teaches people how to drive properly and have consideration for other drivers. In fact that extends to other aspects of life too.

Thing is, a lorry doing 40 an a single carriageway is easy to overtake, for almost any car.

What causes frustration is when you get a stream of idiots following it who don't have the confidence to overtake, and are following so close that they can't see the opportunities to do so anyway.

There's also no space for those who do have better things to do to pick them off a couple at a time.

Hence why caravan tuggers get a bad name.

When I towed it was usually me that was getting held up by the car in front doing say 40mph, when I could do 50.

Yep. Was reminded of other driver's etiquette when confronted by a towing vehicle when I recently had a 14' car transporter on the back for the day. Van drivers carving up everyone behind me to get into the other lane at the lights.

Only for the 3.2 to haul it off the line and leave them looking stupid.
