Exactly how/where mine went when MDTM suggested I take the car for 'a spirited drive' to get the flush around the engine a few months back.  Mine seemed to dump several litres all up the windscreen (no scuttle) in the time it takes to go from 120mph to 0mph (I had no wipers either, though most of it was a sticky steam anyway)  :-[
