I began to ponder that this engine wasn't that well balanced. Then, I thought, at about 50RPM it doesn't really matter, I 'spose!

The exhaust is also an expansion chamber

Basically the sizes are similar to traction units but just the 1 cylinder

Sounds about right. Didn't really pay a lot of attention. Just thought it would make quite a soothing sound phutting away at the end of the garden in a strange sort of way. Either that or an old stationary engine.

Of course, my neighbours would probably have other ideas.

Are they available as a conversion kit for the omega? At 50RPM should do at least lands end to john o'groats on a tank full ;D
