Interior light.
« on: 15 August 2010, 00:28:07 »

I usually use the drivers side small light to roll a ciggie in the morning when off to work but for some reason on thursday morning i pulled the headlamp switch out for the bigger light, drove to work & locked her up. Got back this afternoon, started the car, drove to the shop & noticed the interior light was on, obviously pushed the switch back in.
Point is the main interior light was on from thursday morning til 5pm today. How long should they last without draining the battery?

I think they turn off on a timer after 10 minutes or so. Certainly the case on a facelift.

lets say yer bulb is 10 watts which it probs is and yer battery is 12 volt, yer divide the watts by the volts so a 10 watt bulb would be less than one amp..now for figures say yer battery was a 50 amp hour it should run that bulb for 50 hours plus a tad and all that info and im tired and had a drink ;D :y

Ahh. in that case Hercules is right anyway. The light wasn't on long enough to drain a healthy battery. :y
