I drive one of these very occassionally at work. It takes alot of getting used to IMO. Obviously it's a small diesel but there is no guts in it for a long while until the turbo kicks in, then it's a surge of torque, then you change up then nothing again until the turbo kicks in. I think it's made worse by the fact that it's only a 1.3, whereas the 1.7 I've driven before had much better driveability. I think it would be best to keep it in high revs, but when I drive manuals I like to keep it in low revs and get a smooth comfortable drive, but i suppose it's just what we get used to and we all have different driving styles after all. Also the brakes are very sharp, too sharp if you ask me. They nearly put you through the windscreen! After driving it I got back in my Omega and nearly crashed it because I was so used to feathering the brakes! Good car though, I prefer the Combi van, you can get the one with the rear seats, and either 0, 1 or 2 windows in the side doors, plus the van area at the back so you can use it as a car, and a van, therefore using the no car lanes and beating the traffic! 8-)
Oh yeah, very small in back for leg room in Corsa, and boot tiny, but it is a Corsa!
