Scratch remover lotions and Potions
« on: 30 April 2007, 18:18:11 »

After weeks of working under cars i have now returned to what i know best...preparing cars for sale ( sold 16 in 2005)

So spent the day in the sun cleaning and polishing the vectra ( yes even though its got a few bits to get sorted yet)

Autoglym and co for cleaning etc but theres a few light scratches on it and i used the very last of my t-cut which seemed to do the job.

So is t cut still the best in this area or has anyone used anything different as i will need to buy some new stuff now....

Farecla G3.  Is this any good for removing 'cobweb' swirls caused by excessive use of automatic car washes??

I took my Omega to the local Arco car wash (most towns have them) as my car looked like it had been washed with a brillo pad (Timbuk and Theolodian can confirm)and they used cutting past and got it looking good again and waxed it for £45 :)

If you like Tcut - try new and improved Tcut & Wax.  Seems milder than the original but great on metallic clear coats.  Halfords £6 ish

Would that be the paste or the liquid? Or doesn't it matter?

The liquid, as the paste is aimed at machine polishers and the car will require wetting first with the paste as it is a very heavy paste ;)
