Looks like a cross between a Smart and a dumper truck. ;D

The driving standard will have to improve some before I give up my nice long bonnet and boot with crumple zones. ::)

Interesting concept/theory.

Would pee the london mayor off as I would imagine then would be congestion cherge free.  ::)

But as mentioned driving standards would have to increaseand the road rules/laws changed to make it legal for 2 of them to share the same lane.

Plus, will be interesting watch them all race from the traffic lights on a dual carriageway. :-/

Interesting design, but not so sure about 'solving congestion'.  One of the problems I see with just increasing the density of vehicles flowing throuhg a junction is not being able to increase the reaction time of the drivers.  If when the traffic lights went green everyone pulled forward at the same rate then more would get through - but we're human, and I still like my braking gap because I don't trust anyone when it comes to junctions/roundabouts.  I assume everyone's out to kill me by swapping lanes, inexplicably braking or not pulling away when the lights change.  I'm as big a fan of having a gap to each side as I am about having one in front and behind - 6 lanes across on a motorway?  The law and driving mentality (including spacial awareness) of people behind the wheel would have to change - and I doubt that'll be any time soon.
