I have one of the air powered ones, great bit of kit!  :y

I was thinking of one of those during the Westfield rebuild but I've got a firm handshake instead now. ;D

A big utility company saying sorry and giving a refund...............Must be a 1st!!!!!

They do it occasionally ;) My folks got >£1000 back from the gas company after they realised they'd been overcharging them for the last six years - ever since the gas meter was changed - "Oh, we had the wrong meter type down! Ever so sorry.."

Six years of my mum complaining that their gas bill was extortionate, and their new (at the time) condensing super efficient boiler cost more to run than their old clapped out thing from 198x ..  ::)

Nice new tool chest then? :y

Lol, I am waiting for a VAT free day at machine mart so I can get a couple of HD tool chest items  :y :-X
Just had a VAT free one, down the road from your old workplace. Got myself another set of drawers (and other odds and ends) - a "Well done" to myself for managing another 3 months at work without seriously losing my rag with the idiots...

I had a result with Thames Water a few months back...
I'm not on a water meter......but the water rates were starting to get OTT.....i think the last one i got was around £340 for a year....so called up Thames Water and asked for a meter to be fitted....they sent out 'someone' to assess.....said i was on a shared main....which i knew...(and the reason why i wasnt on a meter before)...asked where the stopcock is in the house....i told him...its behind the dishwasher.....got told....were not allowed to move appliances to access it.....so got told i'll just put you down for meter not suitable.....few weeks later got a letter from Thames Water....saying its not your fault we carnt fit a water meter....to compensate you...your new bill is £170  :y :y.....im fully paid up now until 2011 sometime now  :D
