25 or 50 years, makes sense in that she will not be able to have another baby by the time she gets out. Not a fan of US of A generally but never seem to be soft sentances for crimes like this.

While this is a horiffic thing to happen to a helpless baby
could any of this be attributed to post natal depression or the like ?

quite possibly BUT does that make it right....loads of people suffer p.n.d but they dont do some thing so descpicable...some people are a great advert for steralisation...imo :y
