The writer had to decide wether he would refer to the islands as The Falklands or The Malvinas - why did he decide on Malvinas ? :-/
There are plenty of examples in recent times of "jesuit thinking" in our media. Particularily the Beeb. ;)
Incidentally - for those of you who dont believe in BBC left wing bias. The director general stated a couple of months ago that the Beeb has indeed had a left wing bias, for a long time. But he announced that it has now stopped. No doubt his apparent road to Damascus conversion was a stunt to try to prevent the new govt. from giving the Beeb a kicking.
Thankfully it doesnt seemed to have worked. :)

It's a bloody disgrace and an insult to the good people who defend our great nation.

It's like referring to Northern Ireland as Ireland.

Now that is a real issue still simmering in the background!! :P :P

Most of the media these days seem to refer to anywhere on the Emerald Isle as Ireland. Not a minor oversight imo. It happens in too many places and too regularily for that. Its that old lefty stranglehold again imo. ;)

On this I think so, this is a brilliant kids programme don't read too much into it, it is. after all a tv programme as miss Vamps reminds me... ::) ::)

Fair comment. :y

Both my kids love it. As the thread title suggests, maybe I am too alert for instances of BBC bias. ;)

Reasonably  balanced and objective I would say Nick....... :y :y :y ;)

I quite agree A, appeasing Republican/'Loyalist' violence in Northern Ireland has merely stored up many problems for the future.

Likewise, appeasing fundamentalist groups here in Great Britain - in the name of enlightenment and understanding - is a mistake, the results of which will be manifest in the coming years.
