Mini Facelifts do have the facility. Its basically down to the installed MID. The early (pixel prone) ones do not have the facility.

Said facility needs to be turned on in the MID. Please read the manual if you need to know how, as I can't remember the exact sequence of button presses ;D
I am pretty certain that my 1994 Omega used to auto update the time. It definitely had the pixel prone MID (it worked ok in wet weather but about 1/4 of the pixels packed up in dry weather).

The auto update was something that could be enabled or disabled but I can't remember if it was set in the MID or the head unit (or both) :-/

Nope, function only on later style MIDs (and CCRT Displays)
