Bose sound system for a start....
« on: 10 May 2007, 19:11:31 »

I am new to the site.....and Omegas, but I've driven Vauxhalls all my life. SRI Cav's.......CDX Carltons and Vectras......even a '78 Chevette! I've dreamed of owning a car like this and since only having the Elite a week the first thig I noticed above anything was the factory Bose system. Amazing! I like my music and spend a lot of time at a mixing desk producing stuff...........but hearing the 4 Hero album 'Two Pages' through this was awesome. It was like listening to it for the first time again! Top marks for a factory fitted system dont you agree?

Bose is impressive for factory fit.  Been after one for the MV6 for a while...

certainly is ... my first omega should have had it fitted, but the amp had been removed and the head unit swapped for a kenwood one  >:(

but the 2nd and current ones had it all in place and it's spot-on for a factory fit system. Plus - especially on the estate - it hardly takes up any extra room  :)

one of the main reasons I wanted an elite over a CDX was because of the sound system

Bose system is superb and proof that you don't need massive power to produce a powerful (and damn loud) sound. It only runs at around 30w rms.

That system on ebay is nice, but it is a CCR600 headunit and £249 is a touch over the top  ;) as I could set up a complete aftermarket system for that money!

Oh, and conrod failure on a 3.0??  :-?

The Bose system is bloody good on the saloon and not quite as good on the estate, unless theres something wrong with mine.
