« on: 14 December 2010, 19:27:53 »

But I havent deleted anything or run any cleaning programs,

My laptop drive had 28.7gb free, which its been at for around 6 months,

I just checked it today and its not 37.9 gb free

I cant for the lifr of me find out whats missing, or what on earth would have been taking up the near 10gb of space all that time.

im a bit concerned now..  >:(

Did the recycler empty itself for any reason? Or tmp files cleared themself out? Or IE cleared its cache?

I clear the cache every week, and havent got round to doing it this week yet, I dont use the recycle bin, disabled. and even if all these had data, nothing in the region of 10gb would have accumulated.

I checked the IE cache on my desktop a while a go, nearly 50Gb :o. But then that machine gets abused, and never cleaned up ;D

10G is a lot of data for files being removed...

i dont use IE, use firefox, and cookies etc are kept at a minumum by using the adblocker extension, I only really surf 4 sites, oof, youtube, ebay and my local classic car forum, so certainly no cache of that size to be collected.

im searching thru the machine now to see if anything apparent is missing.
