Hugh's Fish Fight
« on: 12 January 2011, 09:59:55 »

Anyone else watching this on Channel 4 ?

What shocked me last night was the profligate waste associated with fishing quotas. In some cases half the fish that were caught were thrown back into the sea (dead of course) as the boat didn't have any quota left to land it. Multiply that by all the boats involved....... :'( :'(

I for one hope he has success in getting the quota system changed to something more sensible ! :y

Lunacy........ :o

.......but, exactly what happens when politics, national self-interest and psuedo-science are thrown together. >:(

We are an island nation; fishing is in our national-blood.....but sadly, when we were so quick to cast-off our industrial heritage and became "a nation of shopkeepers": clearly, fishmongery wasn`t one of them! :'(

I love wildlife and anything like this makes me feel phisically sick!!! >:( >:(

Korea is the worst........killing and eating Dogs is heartbreaking enough, but when they drag the terrified defenceless mutts out of their cramped cages to have their brains smashed in with clubs and iron bars.....they make sure that they beat the Dogs to death in front of the other Dogs.

It sends the watching dogs adrenelin levels sky high you see, which they believe sweetens their meat and gives them a far better taste. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
The people who do that to dogs...if I could...and I was guaranteed to get away with it.....i would happily shoot every single one of them in the back of the head >:( >:(
