I sometimes watched my youngest son play rugby for Bristol clubs, and then for the British Army.  I lost count how many times he ended up in A & E!! :o :o :o :o

It really put me off though when he bit through someones ear in a scrum after that oppossing player had grabbed hold of his men bits!! ::) ::) ::) ::)   He came off the pitch with blood running out of his mouth and laughing like crazy.  Blood lust you could say :o :o :o :o

Was not proud of him that day!  Bloody animal!! :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

How about cruciate ligament done?

Broken elbow?

Perforated eardrum? (twice...)

Nose done (for the first time) on his 21st birthday?

Twice thereafter....   ::)

Stretched ankle ligamennts.

Shoulder dislocated then popped back in twice (pitchside, then hospital at the end of the game)

Not including the stitches.

Aye, fine quiet game, all in all....   ;D

Really made him an ugly bugger though...

Proud?  Just a tad.  Can you tell???   :-[

I've had a few fine games in my time... And plenty of injuries too ::) ::)

Worst game of my life, however, was having to go on and replace a friend who was stretchered off and taken to A&E with a spinal injury :o Although no-one realised it was quite as serious as it was (he was paralysed for 6 weeks :o) at the time :o
