Good to hear you're enjoying the forum Loo-Knee. :y As mentioned in some of the other replies, we do have the occassional meets in different area's of the country. We had quite a large weekend meet at Santa Pod last October which was a great success and great fun - BBQ's, lots of beer followed by some sore heads on Sunday morning!! ::) Also a good opportunity to get heads under bonnets and problems resolved. It's a good venue as it's fairly central in the country for many of the members on here and the camping facilities are reasonable, and of course there's the drag strip!! I'm sure there will be another one this year when the weather's a bit warmer - keep an eye on the Meets section.  :)

BTW, how did you come up with a name like Loo-Knee? You're not a Chinese lunatic are you?? ;D ;D

Well I supose if you are very very tall, you may need to get down on your knees when going to the Loo...? :o

LOL, nice one Mark  ;D ;D ;D

I was thinking of saying it was my real name and that I come from China, but just couldn't bring myself to do it ;)
But the truth is it came to me in a dream about Pamela Anderson :o

I sure will keep my eye out for these meets you guys have.

I am in a Rangey Rover Forum as things regularly go wrong, but no one seems to have a laugh on there its all serious no chatting..........

The Omega is a reasonably powerful car, but due to its weight, a tad sluggish off the line.  If racing chavs from the lights, it may struggle with some of the hot hatches.  Once moving, it is quite sprightly, esp in 3.0 manual form (autobox gearing is a little long imho)

I have split the reply to this post in order that it can be moved to the correct place.

And to let the dust settle back on this old chestnut.

Hopefully.....   :y   ;D

Sorry to ask this Guys, but I am sure you will forgive me as being a Newbie!!!! ;)
When I was 20 i was in love with 2.8 Capri's (I had two) and joined the Capri Club International, where you got a monthly magazine and could get parts to upgrade your car, also people sold there pride and joys in the mag... plus with being in the CC you got a discount on your insurance.
Does the Omega Owners Forum offer these things or is this something that maybe could happen in the future?
Do you have Omega days where everyone could have a get togther or is that perhaps something that could also happen in the future?
I have spent hours since becoming a member of this Forum lookin through all peoples post that have had problems then the replies that hopefully solve them.
My wife has a Classic Range Rover (that I have to spend alot of my time maintaining LMAO) and have met some great people with the same interest.

Hope you forgive me for talkin about other makes of cars on here but what actually made me think of this was someone had an "Omega Owners.com" sticker in there back window..

Thanks for Reading
Loo-knee ;)

Had the admins known then what they know  now, they could have deleted the post and his account with it, and saved so much aggravation for all concerned. :y
