A few comments.

The military do not swear allegiance to the government but to the crown.

A dictator could not arise here.

Stoning and hanging, leave a lot please, the decent ones, the new young ones, the experts who are doing their best.

And I think the wrong David is in charge, the other is a self made man with good morals.

Oh and a ban on parachuted MPs, restricted short lists, women only what a blxxdy insult to women

The propective MP MUST be local or have good local connections.

No shortlisting. If they are good they are good, our first woman PM did it on her own merit.

Noone named after many legged insects, gentlemen round things, muddy colours, or witches are allowed. Noone smarmy is allowed.

I must have missed something...

.. and on the subject of age, half of the problem, IMHO, is that there are not enough more experienced MPs and ministers who have a few more miles on the clock and some real world experience outside all the BS and spin that is life as a career politician.

Being a PM / cabinet minister, etc. should be a job that crowns a long, distinguished and varied career not a stepping-stone for a forty-something on his way to the gravy train in Brussels.
