Unfortunately the news is a fickle thing... Libya kicked off and was deemed more important :(

Of course, there's still the aftermath in Australia and New Zealand that has vanished from the news too ;)

Yep EMU, as so often the case the news cameras go to the next story when the old one has nothing to offer as far as they are concerned!! ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Forget the fact that over 20,000 are dead, the nuclear reactors are still a bit doodgy, and an unbelievable clear up operation has only just started!! ::) ::) ::) >:(

How strange us humans are!  We can only hold on to so much "news" for so long it seems before we get bored or forget!  Just like most people know very little about their great great grandparents due to us not being able to stay focused on them with all the newer developments in the family! ::) ::) ::)  All very odd :D :D ;)

I think even the bunch of useless lefties, BBC News, realised they had over sensationalised the Nuclear thing, trying at the beginning to make out it was armageddon, when everything was fine, so they couldn't take it any further when things did go downhill a bit.

Since then, Jordan has probably had her tits out, and the useless, talentless footballer Rooney has sworn. Thus Japan is out of the news.

The problem is, we have (recently) bred a society of retards who are only interested in what untalented celebrities get up to - hence all the saturday night crap such as x-factor, britains got no talent, big brother, jungle thingy etc etc.

These retards, and the pathetic producers creating this crap, all need lining up in front of a wall so Guffers and friends can practice with live rounds...

This got brought back home to me yesterday when I was talking with a fellow radio amateur who has just returned from a holiday in New Zealand.

He took a radio with him and was delighted to make contact with a Japanese radio ham from a beach in New Zealand using just a length of wire supported by a fishing pole as an antenna.

They had a nice chat, exchanged email addresses and promised to keep in touch.

He hasn't answered his emails yet. They spoke the day before the Tsunami hit. The Japanese guy lived right on the coast, close to the oil refinery that went up in flames. :(

Do not get me started on that!  If I expressed my feelings fully I could be nicknamed Eva Bruan!! :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;)

I have always been hard right wing, with a bit of a socialist streak.  That is why Winston Churchill is my main hero, and it is now we need him back!  He would sort out our society of limp wristed lefties!! 8-) 8-) 8-) ;) ;)

It did make me think what a turn so many people's lives made that day. :(

Who knows? He could have been swept out to sea or just be having internet connectivity problems, he might just be the type who can't be bothered to respond to emails and be perfectly OK, or any number of other possibilities.

It's not knowing that's the troubling thing.  :(

Japan is very much out of the news now, it seems.. but I stumbled across this today:

http://matadornetwork.com/radar/fck-the-tsunami-pic/

I don't know if that's an amusing 'making the best out of..' picture, or whether it should be heartbreaking.. but it raised a half a smile, nonetheless.

I have dear-friends in Japan and have been extremely concerned for them.....I`ve found that NHK World is a reliable source of 'Nippon' news: with live stream 24/7 news and stories (like the nuclear crisis) covered in-depth.
