Aside of the tank fitting, which Mr Sassanach kindly did with me, Sophie and I have been working hard on LPGing our 3.2 mv6 this weekend, using tezray's old stag 300 kit, which he kindly sold to us from his breaker at excellent cost, thanks again

Pics and more info will follow as im on a  phone in our new place, but, i can report that once finished, she ran faultlessly on LPG at the flick of a switch. Calibrated fine. And drives wonderfully on gas, totally smooth and v powerful, no lag.

Also very pleased with a 78 litre usable capacity in the tank.

Install looks all in all very tidy indeed, better than many LPGA outfit installs I have seen.

I also rate the KME GOLD reducer, good call Lazydocker, thanks for recommending

Total cost:

Rear end kit (new 90l tank, 4 hole, filler kit, and pipe run)  £180

Front end kit £75  (stag 300)

KME Gold reducer: £99

So taking into account i used new pipework etc throughout, my conversion at most has cost  £480.

Payback in 5k miles?

If you're getting 78L in a 90L tank it's not fitted right Should be 72L

As long as you always do more than 20 miles after filling it will be safe, but not ideal

Agreed LD... I will tweak its position a little to resolve. Minor detail tho, thrilled with how well the install went next weekend i will to the remaining tweaks and mapping

Surprised you didn't get it finished as you already had the tank and pipe run in place :-?

Ours went well, although I wasn't really able to do much of the work, considering Saturday wasn't started until about 11, today 12 and finished (including mapping and tidying away) by 4

Still knackered though And back is really knackered now... Can barely walk

Must admit, jcb's installation this weekend was very relaxed because he'd already fitted the tank and stripped the plenum, scuttle and inlet off out of the way before I/we arrived yesterday

Plus Chris and I decided to "down tools" about half 6 last night as we wanted crisps curry
