« on: 25 July 2011, 20:07:03 »

ive had my 02 vectra diagnosed with a imobiliser fault garage said start with the key its cheapest option £148 + vat coded ready to go ouch :'( my other option is to change ecu, transponder ring and key all from the same car to cure the fault, looking on ebay there is the 3 componants i need from same 1.8 petrol but theres is 2003 and mine 2002 model the part number on the ecu is totally different to mine my head is telling me not getting the right match is a no no but just thought id ask if they are interchangable or does it have to be exact match

cheers , getting 1 step closer to it starting in a morning :y
