I think that the thread has been lost a little bit because from what I can see the problem is not with those who have arrived and fully accepted our way of life and laws, adapted to it whilst retaining their own religious and ethnic identities and also never insisted that ours must change to theirs are not the problem.
The problem is with those who come here merely to get what they can for no input and yet not be able to, or ever attempt to even speak English. many of those I hear talking in Leicester are difficult to understand at best and those I ofetn speak to in various call centres based here are no better. In fact I regularly politely request to speak to someone who's language and accent I can understand, as is my right.
One case is going on in Leicester at the moment where an elerly female asian immigrant is now insisting that her family, none of whom speak any English at all are allowed in because they are her family. Her grasp of English is poor at best and yet she has the gall to say that she is reporting this country to the EU because her 'human rights' are not being recognised although all of her other immigration requests have been formally refused after being fully investigated! Needless to say that the local church is behind her and of course the local immigration advisory do-gooders. Guess who will win.....Yep....you got it right....SHE will and then we will have another large family of beggars that will do no other than settle in their enclave and not bother with our laws or customs just as so many others have before and live in relative luxury by drawing benefits they have never contributed to.
The so called Human Rights act needs to be curtailed and its definitions amended because it has now sank to the point where the immigrants appear to have more rights than the original native population of this country. The pratt that dreamed up the Human Rights Act idea (no longer here of course) Cherie Blair should be made to pay for the damage she and her hubby caused this country. All she ever did, apart from buying a house at cut rate by using the services of a known fraudster, was to make a fortune from it anyway defending those who were trying to take us for a free ride!
Can we not simply deal with the problem at source instead of allowing them enter the country then apply, or is that far too sensible?
