My recent purchase.
« on: 28 September 2009, 01:13:51 »

Since my brother recently turned 17, I remembered a promise I made many, many years ago.

I'll buy you your 1st car.

Crap.

Its amazing how easily you can lose track of time.

Anyway, here are a few piccies of the project.

Rover 200 1.1 5dr.
Kingfisher blue.
74k
Tax end Oct.
MOT late April 2010.
New exhaust.
Engine rebuild last year. (typical k series)! :D
The paint is flat, the interior is boggin, and there are one or two little glitches to contend with.
Nothing major.
I am amazed as to how well it drives.
There are a number of small dents, pretty much every panel has a mark.
Again, its the usual car park related dings and dents.
The worst part of rust is the n/s/r arch, but I should be able to clean it up without too much grief.

£100

I'm quite happy with it tbh, a cheap wee car with a promising future.
If my brother does'nt like it, ebay it is.

So, anyway, have a butchers.

P.S. I had already done a coolant change before I took the pics. ;)

Wow cem that is amazing, is there any reason for cars to be so expensive in your country ? I mean is it just money exchange rates or something else  :o
