Hear hear! Text language is so lazy. The reason that we need good grammar, spelling and punctuation is to aid communication. In a forum like this where there is a lot of technical information, any impediment to communication is not only annoying but could be dangerous. I hope you make a difference. Having said all that, I bet I've made a spelling mistake or a grammatical error in this post :-[

Had a good look, and all I could find was you missed the full stop at the end!!   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)  :y

Only you Broocie -only you. ;D

Seriously, I think this is something that needs enforcing a tad more.

Although it would be nice to reduce text speak as much as possible on this forum - the sad fact is, it's becoming a part of everyday life. :(

Look on eBay, I bet you one in three adverts is written in text speak - and it puts me off the product straight away!

I understand it would be a tad difficult to enforce - the last thing I'd want to do is discriminate or offend dyslexic people and such.

Speaking as one of the people i do not mind the text speak or any other, what really gets my goat is misspelling. Why not get a spell check on the post reply strip? i tend to use ieSpell which seems to work fine in this context. :y
