£400.000 spent on the official logo what the f*cks that all about? :o Just heard on the radio one of the officials say "yes it's alot of money to spend on a logo but we commissioned one of the coutry top design companys to produce it". " I know some people like it and those who don't will get used to it i'm sure" ;D My idea would have been to offer a number of art colledges and universitys a prize of say £10,000 to share between the winning student and institution, a dam site cheaper than £400,000 and I bet the end result would have been alot better than the piece of cr*p they have decided on!!!

From what I have seen, people on here are not backward in coming forward. The lack of response to you post says it all. £400k on a logo that noone wants for an event that noone seems interested in.

Is there no end to the ways that our politicians will find to waste OUR money?

I could think of a many better ways of spending 400K in this country than on a logo

It was pasted all over the news last week, when due to the flashing bits in the ad affecting epilepsy sufferers. The amount of money is scandalous, there were better logos submitted to the BBC last week by the general public, after the uproar of the epilepsy issue.

Yep. Nottinham city council spent £150,000 last year having a new logo designed. The talented people came up with this:

What's wrong with that? It certainly has an esoteric charm about it. There is a cheekiness that says to me 'Come to Nottingham, We rob the poor to line the pockets of the rich'.

Surely you can see the benefit of that :y
