When do you pull the plug??
« on: 03 February 2010, 20:18:56 »

August 2009 - bought mates MOT failure 2000 2.5 v6 elite for £300 as he was emigrating. ;)

August 2009 to Feb 2010, replaced four tyres (tracking etc), ht leads, coil pack, front discs & pads, rear exhaust, plugs, rear springs - total costs (can't do it myself) £1000 approx. :'(

Rest of the motor's in pretty good nick with all the toys working well.  How much more do I spend?  Would I be able to recover any of it if I sold it? 78K miles on clock. :-/ :question

Yeh, but hang on matey.
All of what you've mentioned are consumables & you could replace them on any car.
I'd keep it now until something major goes :y
