Very nice!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

I suspect though it will need a new exhaust, if it is really the original, when it has repeatidly been used for 8-10 mile journeys over 3,700 miles.  Wonder how many oil changes were done as well! ::) ::) :-/

I know they did the famous (which is the one I love!) Mk2 1600E, and one in the Mk3 range, but did they do a 1600E in the Mk4 & 5 ranges Entwood? :-/ :-/

Don't remember those for some reason! ::) ::)

Entwood found this link to three Mk2 1600E's for sale:

http://www.carandclassic.com/classic_cars.php?make=21&keyword=CORTINA%201600E

Too pricey for me I'm afraid!! :'( :'( :'(  They are certainly a LOT dearer than the ones you have found! :D

There was a Mk III 2000E
I think Ford must've used the Ghia badge for the MkIV & V's  :y

used to have a 2000E, put 1600 engine and drive train in it for my ex-wife ( to keep insurance down) - got it back re-instated 2000 drive train- first day back at old frim - gassed up with petrol, had a drink on way home- no car in carpark - found burnt out in local school - pity as had done only 45k  genuine miles- so wasn't happy , then had next two cars nicked - both 2.8 capri's - 2nd got nicked without engine or gearbox in it- all the police asked - was did it have a stereo in it?
