I find it highly unlikely they are built in Australia as they don't make anything there! Maybe they could be imported in bulk from point of manufacture?

EDIT: for a 20 foot, fully insured container from Aus to UK (port to port ONLY!) works out around the £3k mark and takes approx. 7 weeks! A guy on the Morris Minor forum shipped 2 early Minors back over to the UK.

why not drive it back yourself? many have done it, it is only 10,000 miles....though how much petrol would that be?  :-?

@ 5.50 GBP a gallon, 1,800 GBP plus hotel bills, 500 miles a day, 20 days....

why not just move to Australia

Sounded like money well spent. It will be awesome when the other half of the gearbox works.

Not that it felt like it needed a gearbox at all, actually.

great idea of the 6L V8 becoming a 3.L V8 when potering about town or stuck in slow moving motorways
I watched the video clip on how the engine does this the person that thought it up deserves a pat on the back

think thats a mercedes idea sure ir's been on the 500 v8 s class for years
