Fuel Economy
« on: 03 May 2010, 00:40:31 »

Been away for the weekend... I'd done 150 miles (town/commute) from the tank of gas when we left and totalled 335 before filling up :y :y It hadn't switched over so there was still a little left (but not much at all)

Strangely though the instant and average economy on this tank seemed very poor on the way home today... nearly 10 mpg drop from normal readings on a cruise at times :o :o In fact, I actually stopped and checked the car over quickly as I was concerned! Nothing wrong but it was very windy :o :o Took me ages to realise that was what was causing it... I only twigged because I looked at the compass on the sat nav and noticed the correlation between direction and change in economy... Very strange :-/

noticed it was very windy other day, today and yesterday decided to set cruise at 65mph, see if what difference it makes to mpg, hoping not a lot cause its booring doing that speed  ;D
