3.2 Air-con condenser
« on: 15 June 2010, 14:26:04 »

Had the air-con pressure tested yesterday and they said small hole in condenser. Have just removed the rad which will now get a full flush as someone put rad weld in the system. Removed condenser and can see small amount of dye but can't see the hole. New condenser on order (£101.84 inc VAT)dealer was £250 +Vat less 15% trade card. Looks like half a birds nest of grit and twigs between fan and condenser. still will all look nice and clean when refitted. How I have missed playing with engines can't beat muck up to your elbows. Next job when parts arrive is rear discs pads and shocks. can not understand main dealer or vauxhall not having back pads in stock have had to back order on a car only seven years old. :(

No need for GM pads on the rear. Cheaper going to motor factor

You're confusing pads with handbrake shoes  ;) Pads from Vauxhall on TC are cheap, their handbrake shoes are bloody expensive  :y  :y

I know about the shoes Andy :y I still cannot see the need for GM pads on the rear, nor for that matter, GM rear discs either

Point I was trying to get across Andy was if the OP is ready to commence the work he may`s well get aftermarket pads rather than wait for VX  to get their finger out :)
