Was with A for 42 years .. now with Green Flag ... service is better and it saves me over £60 a year ... both SWTSMBO and I covered for any vehicle we are in.

:)

Beware, I found to my cost that they are very poor.

this is because they use local garages to do all their work . they dont have any of their  own techs or drivers . where as the AA / RAC will only use local garages as a last resort . ( ps no offence to any one that works for a green flag garage )

More to do with the fact that they considered a flat battery in a car park to not be a breakdown but a 'home start' fault and hence no cover...

Consider ADAC, it its the German version of the AA. £70 a year for plus membership, gives you full breakdown cover in Europe. (cover in UK is by AA)

When i was doing a weeks road-trip to Holland, i had quotes of £150 for breakdown cover for that week alone! So pays for itself very quickly.

Soon as ADAC call center realised i was English, they transferred me to an English speaking bod  :y

We have used AA first, then RAC and now with Green Flag and they are by FAR the best service of all; faster response times and cheaper too! :y

AA Skruntie, been with em ages and pay £15 a month for the full works, including their "Parts and Labour" policy

Parts and Labour covered the cost of the headgasket when it went on our old 2.0 CD

 :y

As above im with the AA

I pay about £23pm which covers everything including parts and labour (subject to £25 excess cost) upto £500 a claim and 5 claims a year!! it covers my mig, my other halfs kia, and also covers both of us in any other car...

no gripes at all and 99.9% of the time they are very helpful and efficient..

I was in the AA for nearly 25 years until the cost went well over £200 a year. Now with Mayday (Green Flag with the Caravan Club) which gives me extra cover and costs around £100.
Must say though that in the times I used the AA they were good apart from trying to wrangle out of recovering me when the Dis pack went on the Omega because my membership was due to run out in three days.

have also heard rumours that they wont recover if you startined a policy with 36 hours, whats the point of cover if you cant use it.

Yes I can understand taking on cover and usung it 30 mins later.

I'm with Mayday, that's in effect Greenflag via the Caravan Club.
£63, but you have to be a CC member to qualify, but that's £38 per year.

So for £101 it's a good deal. Comprehensive cover, I'm thinking of staying with this deal even though I will be selling the caravan soon.
BTW you don't have to be towing to get recovered, covers solo journeys as well :y
