Might be worth trying the pedal test too.

.. or it might well talk to a generic OBDII reader.

for your info the pedal trick does work on the aguila!!
got codes 0301 and 0302 assuming ten flashes equals a zero?
anyone know what these represent? off now to have a search but always worth asking here!!

If the same as her Astra, 0301 will be a miss-fire on No 1 cylinder & 0302 a miss-fire on No 2 cylinder. New plugs 'cured' it for a week, then a new (generic) coil pack for a couple of days  :'( and a bottle of injector clean seemed to sort it completely  :-/

damn!!! begining to think something else is wrong here now!! i was busy rebuilding the engine on the first aguila, when peter decided to wash the 02 car engine off with engine degreaser and a power wash!! so yesterday it appeared to run better after plugs and coil pack change, but today after the wash it now has codes 0300, 0301,0302, now the oil was really bad(milky) and the filter was actually in 2 pieces!! it hasnt used any water today from the coolant tank but there appears to be a fair  bit in the cam cover after running it, and it has a missfire?
im thinking head gasket but hoping its something else!!
ideas??? :o
