Sold their Omega, bought another car (not Omega) then start looking at Omega's again.

I mean I am, and someone may have to stop me buying one before I do :-? :-?

I knew it would be like this :'(

Yep! Much as I love my vRS Octavia, I still hanker after an Omega. Especially since I drove my old MV6 on Friday...

Yep. I wanted an LPG car for quite a while, but couldnt find the right car at the right price, so I sold my old 2.5 prefacelift and bought a Merc c180 (an old S reg model). A few months later a local OOFer put his Facelift 2.5 LPG converted Omega up for sale, so I snapped it up and am very glad I did.
The fly in the ointment though is that the Merc owes me over £1500, but I put it on the bay of fleas and the highest bid it attracted was £650. Not quite sure what to do but if I cant get a grand for it it can sit on the drive and rot. :'(

Fortunately, no.  After my last Omega's CamBelt decided to vapourise, I needed a car within a few days (less than a week).  I was prepared to travel length and breadth of the country for the right one (even though budget was extremely tight at the time).  Picked up a good example a few days later only 100miles away.

It HAD to be an Omega (what do you replace it with?) For me, it had to be 3.0 and had to be fully loaded.

I'm really unsure of what will happen in 10/15 years time when Omega's become impossible to source, or too much hassle to run.  I'm struggling to think of anything that I'd 'happily' drive other than a Mig.  Sad, but true.
