I have a Disco, but it's got the proper engine. mates with diseasels report upper 20's so not that different to Omega.

very capable, but likely to break often. The good news, however, is that you can usually repair it with a hammer and an adjustable spanner.

auto box much better than manual for anything, especially towing or off-road

The SVO/DERV mix 'thing' has it`s appeal.....so high 20`s would be do-able.
I`ve downloaded the Land Rover 'Rave' CD with all the servicing, overhauling and owner`s manuals on it, so I`m currently getting to grips with some how-to`s for servicing and the inevitable fixes and repairs that a vehicle of this age will surely require.
Having it will make the forthcoming Winter here in the mountains much more bearable.
