You can drive around it but your constantly changing gear when travelling in traffic trying to avoid sitting at 1500 revs but the car is so much faster but not quite as fast as a Volvo S60 D5 ::)

yep just when boost is beginning to climb, foot hard down and it appears to be ok, but normal driving and its there worse on some cars than others, must be  something to do with the pump just beginning to throw extra fuel in for the boost,
just as an aside do any of the affected owners know the number of the chip? im wondering if he has purchased cheap chips and they are not running at the correct m,s, speeds>
i.e should be a faster acting chip? would need to compare the uprated make with the origional vaux chip i guess to find out?
I know he has tried a selection of chips, including some out of an unmolested TD ecu I had knocking around here.

aha!! i know he did a batch for another model, and only 78percent worked ok, turned out he had the wrong chips although they actually fitted and worked they were not working as should! they were not processing quick enough or something :o
