Yes mate we are well the little one is doing great 1 month old today.  Will you be at the checster services meet mate?  Would be great to chat with you again.  Hope you and yours are all well.  :y

And don't forget a "formal complaint" against your insurance company.
If they employed an engineer who told you lies about the amount of work needing doing - then they're liable.
You should be able to screw them out of talk them into to some compo for you.
A report to the FOS (insurance ombudsman) will cost them 800 quid for investigating, so they'll settle up to save them that.
