05 astraengine swap

hi every one got a 05 astra wit a u/s z 1.7 dth engine i have the chance of buying a 09 z 1.7 dtj engine with only 14000 miles on clock (cars a write off)will this go straight in seeing theire is 1 letter different in letter code (hoping it is just due to different years manufacture)thanks in advance tony :-?

The engine should fit but you may have some fun with the looms. Take the loom complete from the J engine and compare it with the H engine loom. You may well need the ECU's for the J engine and immobiliser along with the key chips to get it to run properly.

Can only second what he says, let the looms, the lot, and fingers crossed you'd be fine. Im sure there will be fun and games to come, though!
