My mate's after a part for a f-fer-f-fer-f-Fiat!
« on: 23 December 2010, 13:38:34 »

Does anyone on here know of a cheap wiper motor for a Fiat Siecento?

A certain auction website seems to just have the usual glut of overpriced buy-it-nows. £60 seems ridiculous, if he wanted an Omega motor there'd probably be plenty of people on this forum that would be happy to send one for price of postage. (I have told him he should buy an Omega, but some people just wont be told  ;D)

Just wondered if any of you on here moved in some mysterious circles, and may come across one?? Have also been told some Chinky-chen-toes motors are the same.

Any help you can offer guys and girls, and you receive a free mince pie. Just collect it from Cleethorpes :y :y

The price you were quoted maybe for the complete motor and mechinism, the nylon bushes on the mechinism perishes so the complete assembly is bolted on no more juddery wipers.

Thanks people, will pass that on.

Hate using the F word, I try not to, generally.

And Ian, are you referring to Watery Fowls, perhaps?? I thought the stutter was more Arkwright in Open All Hours...maybe I wasn't doing it right!   :-X

So any luck on the speakers/headlamp washers? Hoping to get some pics up of her, now she's back on the road, and looking rather nice, incidentally (nice shiny v-grille, too!)

Oh, mate, he's in love with it.

The guys gone from a Ford Ka, to Rover 620 Si (pain from start to finish, but we put half leather Ti seats in it, which, in its defence are some of the best seats Ive ever come across) to an Elite TD Auto.
So his rise in car quality has been stratospheric, looking at that list.

Now all the main jobs are done, we're starting to move onto the little niggles, the odd squeak/knock, poor door check strap, cleaning engine bay etc.. The kids love it, cant believe that everything is covered in leather, everything's electrically powered, its also nice to think that he's gone from a Euro NCAP ONE star car (same score as a Metro, incidentally. Gulp!) to a three star car. Nice thought when you have your three most precious possessions on the back seat.

Let us know if you ever come across a Polar Sea Blue omega with decent (and free, ideally!) doors, by the way  :y

He should be putting a few snaps of it up some time soon.
