Then the dream turns to tears and rage.

The only time I've ever been worth 'millions' was when I was in Turkey. IIRC £1 = 500 000TL but you've since knocked 3 zeros off your currency.

I went to Istanbul in the early 80s on HMS Fearless when there was I think around 500TL to £1 and had a 20TL note (yellow IIRC) I should have kept it.

Another place to be an 'easy' millionaire was Poland in the late 80's, the Zloty exchange rate at the time was very favourable as a tourist.

Indonesia is the current 'easy' millionaire country at the moment £100 will get you approx 1,426,000 Indonesian Rupiah
