the post is obviously most appropriate in the Vectra/Signum/Zafira forums for VX people but as Omegas gradually cease to roam the earth then OOF members will find themselves migrating to pastures new and may benefit as a result.

the issue here is whether or not there is some sort of design fault that potential buyers of Vectra/Signum/Zafira should be aware and therefore raising the matter in our forum is hopefully beneficial.

At dealer prices you can be looking at £1400 a throw for DMF/clutch - my wife has had 2 dmf go in 3 years - but her driving is not the best!!! Evenso - the dmf should be more resilient in VX.

The point we are making is that DMF's are not great in ANY make of diesel car  :y

Most definitely agreed based on my experience with 1.9 cdti

Interestingly, since I had the later DMF fitted to my 1.9, its been faultless.

But when I say it affects them all, I know of them failing on Shoguns, Tarranos, A4's, 5 series, Mondeos, Transits.....the whole shooting match
