Glad to hear your bin men came, ours come every 2 weeks now and its a real pain due to bins smelling, maggots and overspilling, our bin men will not take the bin if it is slightly open due to bags etc.

These are one side of the council services that really pi*s me off, they think they are so bad done to, our cheeky gits of so called bin men even knock the door at xmas for a tip, i always give them a tip ;D

Ours too. Well, alternating bin waste / recycling each week.

I bet you do! Something about where they can stick your rubbish in order to meet the council's targets of reducing landfill, no doubt  >:(

Yeah, we've been on once a fornight collections for about 6 years here.  I've had several 'discussions' with the council about the £1600+ I pay them to empty my bin 26 times a year. At least they agree its poor value for money....

Trust me, you do get used to it, things like sealing things in plastic bags (yes, even more waste!) to stop flies being able to get in and lay eggs.
