Vast majority of after market air intakes result in less performance in an MX5.  There are only a couple CAI's that do actually work but they cost loads and are quite rare.

I'd stick with the stock item.

Last time I was in the MX5 scene people had had found an inexpensive way of super charging them using M45's iirc from BMW Mini's.
We talking about Omegas ;D

Oops.

Saw Amigo mentioned and something about an MX5 and jumped right in.  :D :P

I think he should buy a Montego next. It rolls off the tongue much better. ;)

Reckon the fuel filter will be at worst, perhaps 4 years old, assuming guy didn't change it in his ownership. Car used to have an mtek chip in but was removed some time prior to sale. I liked the firmer rear springs and the resultant handling but agree it's not very persons idea of fun..... ;)

Oh, never fear, fun was had yesterday morning...  ...I'm happy in the knowledge that I scrubbed some tread from TheDaddy's tyres, and burned a gallon of his petrol ;D

Is it Irmscher sprung all round?

//TB scurries off, forming a plan to nick the springs...

Lowered irmscher rear, standard mv6 front.

Or did I give you a pair of saloon irmscher rears?  Or standards, in an irmscher box?  Can't recall now..... :-[

In that case, they are the original rear springs from The Big Black Beastie....   ;)
